並べてみれば綴りが同じのように見えたとしても、
惑わされていはいけません。
英語にある単語がそのままドイツ語の世界でも通用するものではない、
ということですね。
つまり英語の定冠詞は一つ、the だけで済んでしまいますが、
ドイツ語には定冠詞は御存知の通り、三つ、der die das とあります。
英語の単語からそのままドイツ語単語へと上手く「変換」出来たとしても、
英語からドイツ語単語が運良く想起できたとしても、
正しい定冠詞一つを付けることにも心していなければなりません。
ドイツ語単語の性別を知らなければ
そのドイツ語単語を正しく使用、活用することが出来ません。

英語とドイツ語はいわゆる兄弟語と言われます。
似ているような単語が見出されても何の不思議でもなんでもないのかもしれません。
不思議なのは英語からドイツ語で思い出して、そして正しく綴る、
